Affiliate links - blocked by firewalls?

    Hello,

I have read an article about affiliate links. Author claims that some firewalls block affiliate links.

I used a jump script on my website (links as mydomain.com/out.php?id=1 - this redirected visitors to the real aff. link). Anyway I just found great script which displays affiliate site in frame (and there is a top frame with link back to my site which is very useful because I run site with reviews so the visitor can easily go back and read more reviews - you can see it in action it if you click any outgoing link at http://www.webhostingtoplist.com ). But the link format used by this script is mydomain.com/o.php?out=Affiliate-Link. So these links point to my domain but aff. link is the "out=...." part.

Do you think that some firewalls can block these links?

    Thanks!

Not sure if firewalls and ad blockers can still block your links when formatted that way - but iframes are frowned on and against the TOS for many affiliate programs. Also some programs the code is just very fragile and if you change it at all it won't work. So just be careful when you try stuff like this. Check the TOS 1st and test your links to be sure they track.

Thanks for your help! I changed it back because I found out that there can be problems with sending tracking cookie when the affiliate site is in the frame.
