When I write a post on a blog and I put affliate links in them, should I say that it is an affiliate link? For example, I write a post something like this: Imagine "Amazon" is an affiliate link with referral ID and everything. Since a readership base is important to me, I added a text next to it. I am debating whether I should even use affiliate links in a post like this. It seems shady from a reader's stand point.
I don't see why they would have a problem since they are only text links, as long as you don't overdo it - but then again, I'm a marketer. What I would do is this: I just bought this nice DVD player from Amazon. With your affiliate link in the product, not Amazon. That way if your readers are interested in the subject you are writing about they can click to see a pic of which one you bought. That way the link becomes more contextual. I definately would not note it's an affiliate link.

Hi Shawn, FYI He's asking about affiliate links in his blog - no here. None of the links above are affiliate links they are just examples.
