The Affiliate ID is issued when Amazon accepts you as an affiliate. It is also used as an identifier in banner and link urls, so you get credit for sales commission.
It's displayed on the home page when you log-in to your associates account. It ends with 20 if your in N. America.

Access Key Id is needed to access the Amazon Web Services Product API .
You must register (separate from the affiliate registration) with Amazon to open a free AWS account and receive the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key.

To Amazon's credit, this is all explained on their website. However, the AWS section can be confusing.

You can also create Tracking IDs from your Associate account. These are like 'sub-IDs' that are tied into your main Associate account. Handy if you want to put different IDs in various stores, links, etc. to track how well each one does.
