I have been promoting a product on Clickbank recently. Something strange happened today though; I pasted my encrypted Clickbank link into my browser which took me to the product page and the page didn't show my Affiliate ID like it normally does - it just switched to the domain name minus my affiliate nickname. Why would that be?
The URL of the page doesn't matter. Click on the order button and make sure your affiliate ID shows up at the bottom of the checkout page - as long as your affiliate ID is shown there you will get the commission.
As dlm says, go check the order page, it might / should still be there. Some vendors (including us) do this now - an instant redirect basically - so that the url looks clean and you would never know there is an affiliate attached to it.. it is meant to be best practice to increase conversions... along the lines of the same theory that people are less likely to buy if the affiliate ID is something "alarming" like "affiliatebang" rather than something that looks like code: "3252534" / "indexsafe" etc
hohoho... the URL is fine withour your username.. but makesure on the CB payment site.. it should show your id below of the page
