I am currently using the Date.com affiliate program on one of my sites, I never really checked up on it, as it doesn't really make me much money. That said, I checked it for the first time in a while, and at the bottom of the web page, across multiple pages (in the articles at the bottom the same image). I'm not sure since it's across multiple pages, BUT I'm pretty sure it's hijacked, as I even tried to replace the image with a new one, and oddly it doesn't even SHOW up (I made sure it was a DIFFERENT image altogether and took out the old one). And my IE browser still says "loading" that image, so it's clearly not even loading. While other times, it loads and runs just fine, it's like 50/50. Sometimes you have to click the image and go "back", and then it will have changed! (sometimes more than once or twice). I think it has some sort of system to change back to the original image/link on occasion. Is this a common hijack? or does it even exist?? Actually, I tried to replicate the results in firefox, but it doesn't work (which is probably why I never caught it before as I use firefox mostly, but today I used IE). So is it just MY IE browser causing it? or is it a hijack that ONLY affects IE users who view my page? How do I remove it since it doesn't seem to go away. Is it in my MYSQL database? (I use joomla). the site is matchmaking-service.net, and it's at the bottom of the page. It keeps changing into different affiliate images, so I wonder if I can find the aff ID and report it, or if that's just a dead end? Thanks for your time everyone.
