I have been trying to make a regular income with affiliate marketing for about 5 months now but not very sucessfully. I tried to use adwords to make people click on my affiliate links. I made 2 sales $40 but spent $100 in adwords. I have found that most products on click bank are saturated and have many people selling them. I have not tried commission junction yet but am a member of it. My main question is how do u decide on a niche. Is it the latest product that is out there or some thing that no one else is selling? I some one can pm me more detail and start to get me regular sales I am will ing to pay them say the total of my first few sales. I really just need pointing in the right direction. I know affiliate marketing is all about the correct niche but I am struggling to work out how to find that niche Thanks in advance
Hey hit me up on ICQ 484-969-679 I can help you. I have about 300 affiliates with me and I mentor any of them that want help. Many are making sales on a daily basis. When you message me just make sure you put in the message about mentoring so I don't trash it. That goes for anyone else also!
just read some blog posts www.uberaffiliate.com www.bernardgriffiths.com www.derekbeau.com www.shoemoney.com www.superaffiliatemindset.com www.johnchow.com www.zacjohnson.com These blogs have so much information and resources you will never have to pay for any information! Hope this helps.
If you want to pay or are bringing in some cash for $30 you could sign up to learn PPC. I've learned alot, it's in my sig.
Mighty_s, 5 months is a long time! You need to work on your search engine traffic, put your link on websites that are related to such products, or build your own. For example a blog that reviews games with links to another site (also your own) (is more professional, people won't think your the person selling that stuff on the other website) that sells them. Blogging is good, people like opinions your "professional" opinion. If your site is making some good sales, expand and keep some money away for ads or PPC. Don't spend too much on PPC. If your website fails to make sales within 2-3 months try a different approach, rebuild, make more SE friendly/more attractive, make a mailing list with offers, for example..WIN A FREE IPOD! etc. If all this does not help....maybe you should try adult affiliate programs check www.hacklinkz.com maybe you'll get inspired by all those naked women
if you want... just check in your CJ account and your advertisers... you will find the highest paying advertisers.. and these days... CJ also helps publishers to find out what's hot this week by sending newsletter... see to that also.
Cool thanks for all the info guys very helpful thought i might have just got ignored for being a noob at all this
I believe in my opinion, 3 things can count for being a successful affiliate. Even though I am a newbie, I feel positive about my responses: 1. Choose Good Keywords - Many people will rely on search engines when they need to find something. The best way to get them to reach your content is by implementing good keywords that are not "prime keywords." That means, try and think of some keywords you feel your readers may use to search for your product and implement them into your content. 2. Make Them Want More - Having them wanting to find out more on the issue at hand will definitely get you some sales. Don't lure them in too much, just enough that'll make them wonder "maybe I should check this out a bit more." 3. Don't Restrict Yourself to Networks - Don't restrict yourself to just affiliate networks like Azoogle and CJ, etc. Expand a bit and join some other one's. Join some programs that offer their OWN affiliate program tracking, etc. For example: The Blog Blueprint or WealthyAffiliate 2.0 ... that should give you a start. Or ClickBank possibly. I believe them tips CAN help you...
Liston I feel for you have been there before but I spent over a thousand dollars on nitch resales and adword campains. Let me tell you what I have found that works and makes MONEY! First thing is this, You MUST ask yourself this question. Can I sell this and/or promote tthis offline? Second Question, Is it free for me to join? If the answer to both questions is yes, then it is a good program. The problem with click bank is that most of the "products" are targeting noob webmasters. You want a much larger audiance. I promote sevral products that I am an affiliate of, and 99.999% of my advertisment is done OFFLINE. Thats right, I advertise in news papers, Radio, and weekly papers. And I will tell you biz is GREAT.
When it comes to Clickbank and Adwords, I don't think using clickbank is the best especially if you are promoting their ebooks due to the fact that you may get higher chargeback rates. I would go with another network, but that's may personal advice.
Join Moreniche, http://www.mysearchplace.com they have excellent support and tips, aswell as articles, website templates, a forum for affiliates and a whole lot more. I would appreciate it if you used my signature link to sign up, its an affiliate link, and I will recieve a bonus - Yes!
Sorry about that, the actual affiliate free address for moreniche is http://www.moreniche.com I'm so use to promoting my site, its always the first addy I type.
I agree with Robert1633 --- Make sure you're happy pushing the products and feel good about it... Also realize that this is like any job. It just takes a while to figure things out. I'm afraid that with SOOOOOO much hype about just how easy it is to make $1,000 a day, people's expectations are all off. The reality is that this is work. Plain and simple... It's work.. Only do it if you really love it.
