Hello all, Sorry if you notice this is the same thread as I created yesterday, but for some reason I received an infraction for the last one, I presume because I included the name of the company I am an affiliate manager for, even though I didn't include the url for my affiliate program specifically because I was not trying to "self-promote." However, I still would like answers to my question, so I am trying again. Hey all, I am the "affiliate manager" for ###########'s affiliate program, but I have absolutely no idea what I am doing. I am trying to get the word out about the program and as a starting point, I am trying to put our program into several affiliate directories. So far I have submitted to associate programs, affiliate first, affiliate scout, affiliates directory, top-affiliate, affiliate-directory, and affiliate online. However, I am sure there are hundreds of affiliate directories out there and I do not have time to apply to them all. I was hoping that, as affiliates, you all could clue me into some other directories/directories affiliates actually like to use. I am very appreciative for any help you can give me, and am very sorry if this is not the best section for this thread. Thank you in advance for your advice
Hi 5050biz, Here are the TOP affiliate directories according to Google, based on popularity. Submit to the top 12 or so here: http://www.google.com/Top/Computers...ffiliate_Programs/Resources/Directories/?il=1 (Skip #2 it's no longer a directory, skip my 5 Star affiliate directory as it's not an open directory, it's only for clients.) Several affiliate forums also allow new affiliate program announcements. I think that could possibly get you further than doing directory submissions. I don't think that many affiliates use directories to find programs any more. Hope this helps and best of luck!
Just checked out the link 5Star Affiliates, thanks for sharing it here. Some of them were really cool.
First, in response to webmoney's post, I did Google them, how is it you think I came across the 7 directories I listed? What's more, Google is a machine and, while I like it incredibly, it does not necessarily return the best results so much as the ones which match its indexing criteria the best. While these two things frequently coincide, there are occasionally excellent websites which are not located in Google's first 50 results, which is exactly what I was asking for; I was hoping to get some input on which directories you all, as affiliates, thought were really great regardless of their Google page rank. Nonetheless, I thank you for suggesting affiliateprogramslocator.com, it is one I had not looked at yet. Also, I would like to say thank you to 5star for providing the link. Furthermore, thank you very much for your forum announcements advice, I believe it will be most helpful. -5050BIZ P.S. If anyone else has any directory suggestions they think could be useful, I would still be very appreciative to receive them.
