I'm trying to locate a good datafeed parsing script to add products from an affiliate datafeed to a site. Is there one in particular that anyone has used that you would reccommend? Ian
Thats a new one on me Hoffster. Interesting. Free??? Most affiliates that I know that do lots of feeds use WebMerge. http://www.fourthworld.com/products/webmerge/index.html
It isn't free-- 55 pounds I think. The datafeed parsing tools look interesting but it seems the product matching / price comparison is fairly rudimentary.
If you are an amazon associate, you could use CARP I use it on my blog search directory and it works great.
Sorry to drag this thread back up, but I'm also hunting around for scripts like this (for PHP) Anyone any suggestions?
I just took a quick peak at www.pricetapestry.com that theHoff mentioned. It looks pretty good. Here's one that parses affiliate datafeeds into a MySQL table Here's a demo you can try. It also has a find and replace which could be used to help avoid duplicate content penalites. http://www.phpmill.com/feedparser/demo.php Here's another - Magic Parser http://www.magicparser.com/ Hope this helps and best of luck!
