have pasted codes provided when clicking to get and affiliate ID for a product and they give me what appears to be an html code with my personal ID it. When I put this on a page and then test it I have noticed that my username or personal ID is there for the world to see. I have tried several free coaking software products and not they still showed my ID Can some one recommend something free I can use. I would pay if I could be sure it will work and I can ad text to it. The only thing I do not understand is the status text but it if it just like adding an alt tag then it is not really needed in my opinion. I have spend a lot of time on this with many companies never sending the promised email with details by the way.
You can also do a meta tag redirect. Search G for meta tag redirect You'll find instructions for the meta tag REFRESH command, HtH JJ
Hello allwayslearning, Do you have your own site and do you wish to cloak links on it? If yes, does your site work with php? If you have your own site, you can use, .htaccess / php / meta refresh / javascript redirection If you just wish to cloak affiliate links without your own site, you can use any free link cloaking service. for example you can cloak any affiliate links here: http://downloadsonline.org/s/ Thank you
Hi there, I use the ClickBank toolkit. I give it to members of my paid sites, but you may be able to find it if you look for it on Google. Enjoy your day! Terry
I'm a little bit confused . . . What do you mean when you say that both your username and affiliate ID are visible when you test your link on a page? If you mean that, when you hover over the anchor text, the link is displayed, containing your affiliate ID, then I understand. But how can people see your username as well when it's not in the hoplink? Just go to www.tinyurl.com when you want to cloak your links. The service is free and I've never had any problems with them.
