Have consistently made $1200 - $1500 a month with Amazon affiliate program for the past 2 years. That and Adsense is how I support myself and my daughter. Last week I signed on to find my account closed with no explanation. I cannot find anything in the TOS that I could have done wrong. When I finally was able to talk to someone, they said it was closed because of Scumware which I know nothing about. There was a few months ago that the server was hacked and I had some malicious code on the website that I got rid of as best as I knew how (deleting the script from the code.) Does anyone else have any experience with this problem and if so, did Amazon reinstate you?
It sounds unfair and they should reinstate you. Unfortunately communication with Amazon, from an Affiliate perspective, is terrible. They ignore you and it is very hard to get a response. Just persevere and send an email every day.
Thanks for the response! I have emailed 4 times and spoken on the phone with them 3 times. They haven't responded to any emails but on the phone they are very nice. The last time I spoke, the woman assured me that my case would be escalated to the proper dept and they would review my plea. I am just so frustrated and scared about this. Honestly, I cannot think of a thing i could have done to cause this! I just pray they will respond soon so I can make my next house payment!!
That is a real shame and I am sorry to hear it. A lot of people are mentioning frozen accounts recently.. I hope it isn't a pattern. Especially leading up to the big Christmas sales. I know it doesnt help now but try and diversify your methods for the future. Amazon is my main focus but I also earn from many other sources, so if things go wrong with one I am not in too much trouble.

Well, I am happy to report that Amazon has reinstated my account. All is well. It took 4 emails and 4 phone calls spread out over 3 weeks but yesterday I got my letter from them. Upon further review they found that I follow their rules & regulations and my account is now open again! I am so happy I could sing all day!!!
This is great news for you and for everyone. At least we know now that if Amazon closes our account they will listen (eventually!) providing we are doing everything by their terms & conditions.
It is good to hear Amazon can be reasonable. This is also a good lesson for us all to not be dependent on one source of income.
This is the first time I've heard of Amazon reinstating a previously closed account - great stuff. Happy for the OP for getting their account back.
