I see you only speaking about affilate programs to making money by promoting products/services of others. But what if I have web portal and would like to promote it through affilate. Could you recommend me any that kind of program please.

Depends on what your selling. Ebooks alot of sites have affiliate programs you can set up and even host download on sites. Google paypal ebooks i am sure a few will show up that offer affiliate program for your product.

Some affiliate sites have programs but you have to set site up for it. Example would be comission junction and others.

You can pay your visitors "pay per Click".
I think you can also pay them 'pay per lead'
etc..
affiliate networks like clixgalore etc.. have such programs.
