Affect of changing wordpress theme

Does changing wordpress theme have an impact on SERPs? If it does are there any tips that can help to minimise the affect of this change?

 

It does have some effect, but not a whole lot; provided your post contents are same.

 

neglegable... on page seo of both themes were similar there probably won't be any change... and even if there was a big difference there wouldn't be much of a change. Google ranks your content, not your theme.

I also had the same question in my mind. However, I feel, keeping the same theme will be better.

Some themes are optimized for SEO, some are not. Just make sure that you are aware of the basic ones, at least

 

It will affect the SERP and it depends on how you have configured the header files.If you have too many javascript then there may be a drop in your SERP.so changing theme will affect SERP.
