There's been a few threads on photography here lately, so I thought I'd show off some of my aerial photos - they might interest a few of the photography nerds here These pics were taken with a cheapo 2mp camera stuck on my rc plane - in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne (Richmond) and in country Victoria. WOW, thats great! I was going to make some videos with my RC car. I think I may sell it and buy a plane now though! Very nice. May be you could sell people pics of thier home? DD
I'm not a photo or rc nerd but great pictures! The photos I take with my two feet on the ground are not as good.
The camera can be operated from my transmitter - I just flick a switch and it takes a photo. But I usually just leave it on auto mode so it takes a photo every 5 seconds. I'm eventually going to buy myself a higher megapixel camera - just have to find one that's cheap, light, and has a continuous automatic shoot mode.
Great videos, those mini cars are really cool! I have a HPI nitro RS4, but Im planning a Schumacher menace .21. My little bro has a cheap plane, and I have pretty much stolen it from him, lol, so I may get the plane first. Any recommendations? DD
That first photo is definitely the best one. Get a better quality camera, then they'd be excellent shots.
Great Photos.. What kind of plane you flying? An RC Plane is a Remote Controlled, to Scale model airplane that has an engine and is controlled by somebody from the ground.
I've got a few planes, but the camera is on a Slow Stick, which is easily my favourite. It's so big and slow that it practically flies itself.
Once you get over the startup cost it's actually not too bad. The planes themselves are the cheapest part, it's the radio gear, motors and batteries than end up costing the most money.
