Hi all, I’ve been looking into Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) lately, especially with AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini becoming more important for traffic. Curious how people here are actually implementing AEO. When creating content, do you usually: * add an FAQ section to standard articles, or * structure the whole article in a Q&A format? Thanks!
JSON-LD FAQ and how's to are supposed to contribute in appearing in AEO. However, there's no proof that it's absolute or the ONLY way to achieve it. If it was that easy, everyone would just do it. If you remember, when position 0 and answer boxes were a trend a few years ago, every SEO tried to dominate these spaces. How many actually achieved it in the end ? Were the high authority brands with a loaded backlink profile the only ones who won ? Nope. I managed to put some of my answers at position 0 with weaker sites. I'm not a genius or anything. What I want to show here is that we don't know on what criteria Google bases itself to select rich snippets. Anyone could make it. We just have to try as best as we can and let things come naturally. We should stop trying to please every single bots out there, be it AI or search engines. We must prioritize human search intent first and foremost, doing all we can to help people with relevant data. If we are indeed helping users, everything else will align sooner or later.
