I created a new campaign with 3 ad groups last week, using the new interface. I have about 10-15 keywords in each group, all set to exact match. I've also targeted my client's location (Scotland) and set a daily budget. After a few days I noticed zero activity on my account. I know there should be some impressions because I have a similar campaign already set up which is currently paused. So, I went into the keywords tab and discovered that none of my ads were showing for the new keywords because, as the pop-up messages says, their platform targeting settings are wrong. This is nonsense because my campaign is set to display ads on Google Search and iPhone (AdWords required that I chose at least 1 device platform). I've tried checking and un-checking the boxes but it makes no difference. One other obvious check is to see if it's a problem with my keywords, so I unpaused the older campaign and slotted in some of my new exact match keywords. Lo and behold, a few hours later, some impressions and clicks. So, did the new interface not set my campaign up properly? Even switching from new to old interface does not make my ads show. I guess the only final way to test it is to start my new campaign again, but from the old interface. That's next on my list. Anyone any ideas? Thanks
You could ask them directly to explain why you're ads aren't showing. Being polite with them and explaining yourself thoroughly is worth the effort, I've found. Saves the wondering and searching I guess.
