Hi, This is a beginners question so please bear with me. Does anyone know if it's possible to send adwords clicks directly to your clickbank hop link or do you have to have a web site? I've asked google and they say the destination url and the display url have to be the same. Which it is, but with the clickbank hop inbetween. I'm not clear if the hop link counts as a redirect? Thanks.
Yes you can. Your display URL doesn't have to include the ?hop=... parameters e.g my landing page might be www.adwordsmiracle.com?hop=fastimp or even the preferred clickbank format of http://fastimp.awmiracle.hop.clickbank.net but the display URL could be left as www.adwordsmiracle.com adwordsmiracle.com would be the final destination for the Adwords click, so Google should be ok about it. Hi, Its better to have a landing page. You will get good quality score if you have a landing page which has searched keywords on it. Regards, Ajeet
destination url = http://www.product.com?id=YOUR-REFERRAL-ID display url = http://www.product.com If you wanna do landing page by your self and put link to product you promote no problem. up to your method for max ROI.
I'll be putting a page up soon. I wanted to try it out with a direct link to see how that went first. But I didn't want to jeopardise my google account in the process by breaking any rules.
This method tends to work pretty well if you do it right, for most people. The catch, however, is that since Adwords will only show one ad per target URL, if someone else has an Adwords ad for the same product/aff URL you're promoting, yours won't be shown for that particular keyword... thus the benefit, if done right, of a landing page for competitive keywords.
