    Yes

Do you and friend both have seperate accounts?

Did you run ads before that have not performed well??

Did your friend run ads that did perform well??

Did you write the same ads as your friend??

If he wrote ads with the keyword(d) in them once in title and once in descipt it will perform better than an ad with one or none.

    Whats each daily budget?

    What did you each bid??

A lot of factors (ad copy, landing page, CTR, matching options, etc) go into determining the min bid amount. So to answer your question, yes, I've heard of it:)

It just seems crazy to charge one person 1.00 and another .10 for just entry into the SE for that term.... Must be nice for Google to name there own price... obivously i am using different keywords as i am not aobut to pay 1.00
