I am trying to find a niche and keywords for an adult micro-niche blog (affiliate programs), and I am wondering what would be the best Local Monthly Searches (for USA only, for this example) range for these keywords. I know that numbers dont necessarily reflect the exact searches, but this is the best source for this type of data anyway. Some people say to stay between 80 (that might vary, and probably is not that important, as long as I keep it fairly low like this) and 30,000, other to keep it around 5,000. What do you think is the best range for what I am trying to do? I am thinking about a root keyword / keywords, and long tail phrases also (4 words max, I think). Thank you.
