I don't have any major experience in terms of FB ads but I have been using adwords from the past many years.
Gotta say it has worked for me "very well". :)
If you are looking for quick and targeted traffic, adwords is worth it. As compare to FB ads, penetration is more for adwords (search Network + Display NW). Then there is mobile & video ads.
Secondly, good thing about adwords is that it shows ads 2 people when they are "SEARCHING" or "Looking for" unlinke FB based on their interests and likings.

Having said that, FB has a wide number of active people spending more time than google.

I did both. Of course, Adwords is much more targeted then ads on Facebook - people are LOOKING for it. But, on the other hand, it's way more expensive. What I like about FB - you can filter more specifically people you ad will be put in front of. By many different criteria. So you can still target your customers very precisely. What I would do, is to get a voucher for both, and start 2-3 campaings there and there. And see what works better for you, where you ROI is better. Now I work with Facebook only, but that's imho.

Hello, FB is the cheapest way to advert your logo. For 50$ you can have more than a million impressions.

Again I think it depends on what you are advertising. AdWords Ads will be viewed potentially by anyone on the internet searching for your product, or something similar to it. Facebook ad service targets a very specific audience. In my Opinion AdWords would be the way to start as it can be viewed by potentially anyone, Facebook Ads will only be seen by those who have filled out their preferences and "likes" etc...

The results are going to be different for everyone.
They both work but you will have to try both to see which work better for your particular product.
Adwords gets you a more targeted visitor who is more likely to buy but can be expensive unless you spend a lot of time on keyword research and come up with a lot of long tail keywords that don't have a lot of competition.
Facebook is a lot cheaper and you can target your ad much more toward the particular demographic that you think will be interested in your product, but they are less likely to buy than traffic from adwords.
The only way to know which will work best for you is to put ads up on both of them and test, test, test.
And then when you think you have a good ad that is getting you good results, test some more.

I like FB because I can better target my market by specific demographics. Yes, with Adwords, the prospect is "searching"--but with FB, you know exactly the person and their specific interest--if you have a product or service that can easily be targeted to a specific interest, I'm all about using FB!

    I've used both.
Adwords is much more targeted and often more expensive
FB traffic sometimes is worthless, many ppl are wasting time there, so you need to know your specific audience

Buy a couple of adwords and FB vouchers to try both, they are cheap

Google Adwords will still be more superior rather than Facebook Ads. But just for you to make sure, try both. It is not the same result for everybody.

facebook ads by no means is a match for adwords.
my experience with fb ads was just horrible; low quality clicks, high pays.

I depends on your objective. Both have their benefits. If you're looking to get the word out about your site/business, submitting a Facebook ad is a good idea to get the ball rolling. I'd try them both out.

Well, even though I'm not a huge expert on the matter, I'd go for Facebook has there to can target your traffic way better, and targetted traffic is way more important than just the overall traffic. You can litteraly promote it by age, likes, and all sort of things you can think of.

Are you a hunter or a farmer? FB ads offer social targeting, so if you want to get in on the right "conversation", FB is the way to go, and cheap as heck. Adwords requires more expertise in keywords, and may be a waste of money if you don't know what your doing. For the record, I use both.

I also use both. FB is much cheaper and you can target you ad more. Impression and click throughs also seem good with FB. Adwords have a larger audience. They both have their pros and cons.
