    Hello guys.

One to have a think about here, We are trying an experiment with some very unusual stats. What started out as a joke become a bit more!

here what we've done and found.....

Small article site only 10 pages (not mine but a friends) no real keywords or optimising, or even real topic, just a general article - this site is just purely for this experiment

The articles have 2 seperate ads on each page, one square within the topic and one banner size at the bottom.

Now the ads are totally irrelevant and all over the place, which is what we want. we managed this by having no keywords in title and lots of "stop" words. also no "keyword" was entered more than once on the page and you cant even call them real "keywords"

Now the adwords account has as many keywords we can use for the minimum 0.3p approx 400 in there now, daily limit set to £200.
these are also words with little or no real ad competition.

Even the ads dont make real sense (cant say what due to my friends privacy)
    little example (not in use)

    title - Is this true
des - we ate all the burgers, then what

theres some really funny ones that just look like there written by someone with mad cow desease. ;)

Now comes the interesting part, the revenue its making from the irrelevant clicks to the irrelevant page with the irrelevant ads is by far outweighing the cost! dont make sense

Adwords average CTR 8.4% - average cost 0.3p
    Adsense CTR 7.1% - average rev 0.87p

so if 100 people click the ads costing £3.00
then 7% (7 people) of them are clicking the ads averaging 0.84p - you can work out the math!

Nothing is targeted in anyway shape or form.

We dont know if this is a short term thing or pure fluke or what, but we are going to run it for another month just to make sure. will post some screen shots once I have permission to do so.
