Adwords Vouchers: Is There Still A New Account Setup Fee?

I have a £50 Adwords voucher which I'm giving to a business colleague so they can get used to the way Adwords works.

The question, for anybody who knows, or for anybody who has recently set up a new account and used a voucher, do Google still charge X amount which is used for credit? In other words, will they have to use their card and pay X amount into their account to be used as credit, even though they will be using the voucher?

You will be charged a £5 non-refundable setup fee. The voucher will activate, but you will not be able to proceed with an ad campaign until you have paid this fee.

    Ok nice1, cheers.

Is the voucher entered during the initial set up of the account? Like, does it say during set up something like,
"If you have a voucher please enter the code now"

yes, it's $5 activation fee, but $10 minimum deposit. Towards the end of your signing up they will ask for any promo/voucher numbers.....

It's for credit card verification purpose and yes, still you need to pay it;)
With vouchers the problem is that you wont see if it works or not until your account will be credited with free $$. Sometimes thise vouchers doesnt work so you will loose your setup fee.
