I recently started some new campaigns to test elements of my website. I know that I paused the campaigns. I found a week or so later that adwords had started my campaign again, even though I had not been back on adwords! This has happened twice but when I wrote to google they jsut said the campaigns must not have been stopped. I know they were stopped as the traffic from google ads stopped and then started again randomly (if they were never stopped I'd have got the traffic constantly). Has this happened to anyone else lately?
Never i have used google adwords for years now and this has never happened. Just do check if you have given permission to someone else. hope this helps...
Recently some newly added keywords of ours were deleted - something I read in a forum post that had happened to someone else. Not deleted by us, or anyone that accessed the account. Then a few days later they were un-deleted (something we couldn't do if we tried). Nothing like this had happened before, and we've been doing this in big way for 8 years. Perhaps there is a bug/virus or even some random anarchist in the GooglePlex?
You can pause or turn off Google Adwords campaigns at several levels: 1. Keyword 2. Adword 3. Campaign 4. Account
Google doesn't turn anything on or off. So either you made a mistake and didn't click the right button or something (it happens to the best of us), a problem with the system (could happen but I've never seen it) or someone else has access to your account (I've seen this happen). The most likely is simply a mistake on your part. But don't ignore the third. It would be a good idea to change your account's password. Check under My Account for those with access. Remove any as needed. > Then a few days later they were un-deleted (something we couldn't do if we tried) Actually, you can un-delete a keyword. You simply re-enter it as a new keyword exactly the same way. The deleted symbol disappears and all data is preserved. As far as I know, you cannot un-delete an ad, a group or a campaign in this or any other way.
