adwords traffic estimator...

    heloo..

    adwords traffic estimator estimated that my bids will average in 7.** position..

    but after sometime running the campaign my average position is 110.0???

    I agree :D in reality he is.

    But, does estimator work on principle of perfect - highest quality? Maybe estimator presume that advertiser have highest quality destination url, high ctr, and by that he making estimated positions?

    In that case, estimator is great tool - you see how you can be ranked high, and cheap.

    In my experience it may be exactly as you say or maybe they inflate it even more... I often receive only 1-2 clicks for phrases which the Google prediction is in the hundreds...

    The estimator tool should come with a disclaimer: "This tool is for recreational purposes only."

    That might happened because the other ad owners have increased the bids on those keywords.As it changes everytime.

    I have always found the estimator to be competely unreliable. I tend to just create the ads and try it out for a couple days. The content site hits always seem to take 2-3 days to start showing.

    The estimator after all is just an estimator, in some cases it provides good estimates but in others it is far off.. it shud never be taken seriously.
