    Hi ,

I am new to adwords and am looking for advice on where to get some tools to manage adwords accounts such as excel spreadsheet templates, graphs, charts..etc.

    thanks

I would suggest getting the AdWords Editor so that you can download all your information to your desktop. From there you can make modifications and upload them back online. Furthermore, you can export to excel all that information before or after you post all your changes. They also have a bunch of other tools available in AdWords like the keyword generator and traffic estimators.

Have you been working with the tools for a while?

Several months now. I've done a lot of reading and posting in these forums to get a better understanding. Basically, the more you know what is available to you, the quicker the learning curve. I will say that a lot of the tools available have made a significant impact (almost immediately) on my campaigns and would highly recommend learning them to anyone getting started. It can save you the headache of a few costly mistakes.

Create your own spreadsheet, etc. there is nothing better than a custom report you have created for your own needs

My company's campaigns began a number of years ago and were neglected by that original individual for a number of years. Looking at them a couple months ago, I began to update and used the keyword generator a lot, primarily to come up with negative words that I never would have thought of. I'm particularly fond of the schedular (being on a budget) because it lets me advertise when I can get the most ROI. Fine tuning using the postion preference settings with highly compeditive words is also nice. No sense in wasting money fighting for first position if third (or even lower) is just as good.

Agree :). I always use Position Preference 1-9 for all of my Ad Groups, and heavily make several Ads Variation.

The ads with good text and good call-to-action phrase with the right targeted traffic, gave me more clicks and ROI even it's only at 6-9 position.

    Cheers :)

Besides software another great guide is from Perry Marshall. google him and you will get his site. I would recommend signing up to his adwords news letter. It has great tips in it. I never did buy his book but the free newsletter really helped me out. I need some rep so if you like his newsletter please give me some

I grabbed Perry's book, "The Definitive Guide To Google Adwords" a couple months ago. Great book.
