I was curious to know what the average conversion from AdWords to Adsense is.

I don't know what the best way to express it would be - we can try something like this:

How many new visitors do you get, on average, from AdWords, per $1.00 spent?

I realize the numbers vary depending on the theme of the site, the keywords paid for, etc. but what I am looking for is an average, based on your experience.

    Thanks for your answers.

(P.S. - I hope this topic was not already discussed - this forum is HUGE!!!)

I've never done it myself, but it depends a whole lot on what your keywords are.

Use the adwords tool to find what you will get for your money; from what I've heard, their predictions are quite accurate.

it depends... i have sites that have 10cent keywords and i have sites with keywords in the $1.5-2 range. hence for a dollar i could get anywhere from 1/2 - 10 visitors.

You can't look at it that way, its like comparing apples to oranges. Treat your campaigns differently and use the ctr's and cpm's to compare!

And hopefully you are doing other things to monetize your traffic. While we all try to convert low AdWords buys into high AdSense clicks, you can't assume you are going to get those AdSense clicks. Try other agencies with CPM inventory, CPA, etc.

YPN and Chitika are also good alternatives but your mileage may vary.
