We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are unable to process your request at this time. Our engineers have been notified of this problem and will work to resolve it. Please note that using your browser's back button in AdWords can increase the likelihood of errors. If you think this was the cause of your error, please try again without using the back button I must have gotton this message 10-20+ times in the last 2 days just trying to do the most simple of things (like editing ONE ad group, or adding a handfull of negative keywords) Seemingly regardless of what hour i try to get anything done, adwords continues to just get slower and slower i'll even come back 2+ hours later and try to do the ONE thing i was trying to get done hours before and it still results repeatedly in the above ^ message. Lately i haven't been able to get much done at all. I've been just giving up.
Normally after you see the " Our engineers" messages is recommended that you close and reopen your browser to clean up the things.
Who told you this? This issue still persists, and if anything has just gotton worse. I've been trying for at least 2 days to turn on content bids & position preferences for a specific campaign with nothing other then a complete sluggish failure & the repeated error message. Not specific to a machine at all As the case with another 'keywords tool' thread i had going. This issue is not at all machine or browser specific. I have IE / FF (1.5 & 1.6) take your pick, oh and you can take your pick of any of the of machines here to attempt to get anything done. Regarding the keywords tool failing after ~20min of use, i've had a great time playing musical chairs on my boxes here logging in/out of adwords from each one every half an hour just so i can continue. Though that isn't reliable at all, sometimes i just plain can't continue regardless of which browser or machine. I like when i hit ('site-related keywords') button and it just hangs and doesn't even hit the webserver at all. It's a great waste of time watching the little colored balls going back and forth for as long as the browser stays open to the same page. But what's most fun is just having to watch the web server to verify its hitting it at all in the first place (this saves a lot more time then guessing if the colored balls are ever going to end) So last night i decided to download the adwords editor only to (no surprise) find out that turning on position pref's & content bids for campaigns is nowhere to be seen. At least that i've found. Oh and it took *at least* 15min if not 20+ to download my account. With massive lag/time gaps during/in between downloading the account. Yes yes everything is beta i understand. Like i said before i'm barely getting anything done anymore, adwords is just so generally slow and buggy its really getting obnoxious. Some of my campaigns have ad groups that keep losing prev set position preferences too. Can't wait for my canned response from google.
