Found a good blog post about using the "Search Query Report" to find negative keywords instead of its intended purpose of finding new keywords to bid on.
I use this all the time now. I just wish it reported on keywords with no clicks though - I'm sure I'm getting 1,000's of impressions with no clicks from a few keywords, but I can't figure out exactly what the 'broad match' is doing...
Exactly. Something like what webmaster central offers would be perfect. Wonder why WC only shows organic searches. Back on topic, the search query report was an absolute MUST for AdWords. The great thing is that the negative list can be used on other PPC networks too
Has anyone run reports where several of the keywords with clicks were lumped together? I just ran a report which lists many queries for each ad group, and then has a line for all 3 match types, with something like '12 unique queries' in it.
They seem to group the low-volume keywords together. So it's not uncommon to end up with '100 unique queries' with a total of about 105 impressions, and 100 clicks.
