Adwords - Saturated?

I'm fairly new to Adwords and I have to say it is extremely disheartening to someone who is just entering and learning the ways of adwords. I have found that Adwords is unbelievably saturated. I've done as much reading as I can without my brain hurting from looking at my monitor for too long and done as much keyword research as I know how to yet I find it near impossible to find good keywords. Yes I can find keywords that are extremely targetted with low competition but they get maybe 5 views a day.

I thought maybe people could help 'UN-dishearten me' and either give advice on how you go about it, or some success stories to keep me motivated.

the key is to find lots of these and make sure they convert.
you can also choose the more expensive way and pay more for clicks with lots of competition. make sure you control conversions though

There's certainly a learning curve with AdWords, but you can do worse than tap into all the advice that one of the recognized gurus makes available.
You can find the details -- including the offer of a free quick guide -- at http://www.perrymarshall.com/google/

PS. No I'm not one of Perry's affiliates (or anyone's for that matter). However, I KNOW that my own successful use of AdWords flows from all that I've learned from him.

Are you limiting yourself to well known and very competitive segments like mortgages, dating, or web hosting? Dig into more specialized niches where companies (best) or consumers spend money.

    Kyle,

if you are using only free keyword research tools, like Overture, you should try using for example, WordTracker. It'll cost about $8 for one day, but you can come up with some great keywords. Of course, you should track them and make sure they convert.

Another option, is to bid higher for competitive keywords and try to achieve high CTRs with your ad copy. Make sure to use negative keywords. If you can achieve high CTRs with your keywords, you can then reduce your keyword bids. Only make sure that CTRs don't drop too much. Try to keep at least 1.0% CTRs.

The success of Adwords has created the competition. If you think you've gone as far as you can with Adwords spend time on your organic activity. There's always Yahoo search marketing as well.
