Hi Guys I've just been looking back at previous months within our AdWords campaign and when I run a report for say May there are different figures for Impressions, Clicks, Conversions etc than came out when we ran the report at the time? The report I run now shows more Impressions, Clicks, Conversions for that month than the same report done in the 1st week of June. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone have an explanation for this? Thanks in advance Laura
Laura, the only thing I can think of is that you were not looking at the same time period or you had a filter of some kind and were not seeing all of your traffic in one of those reports. Click and impressions, once the period is over, will never change, as expected. I've never seen what you describe happen. For conversions, I do have an answer. Conversions can be tracked for up to 30 days. If someone clicks on your ad on May 5 but doesn't buy until June 2, that conversion will be counted towards the keyword and ad that triggered the ad on that day, not June 2. That's the reason you will see different conversion numbers between Adwords and Analytics; the latter shows conversions that happened that day, regardless of when or where the visitor came from.
