Adwords, Really? REALLY?!

Alright well I found a niche with no competitors, setup a campaign, was all going good, and then boom, apparently I'm not at the dollar bid requirement and an Amazon link appears in the niche I find randomly. What the hell? Can someone explain to me this?

Should I up my bid to one dollar? I did a practice one click on one of my keywords and got 0.10 as the cost. Will they up this cost to one dollar. . .?
edit: nvm, QS is still 3 even when I up to one dollar bid. Someone just explain to me what the hell Adwords is trying to pull? Why are they driving away affiliates with these new policies?

edit 2: I think they're reviewing my account right now, there is one out of all my keywords with a QS of 3 thats showing ads right now, even though there are still a couple keywords with QS of 5 not being allowed to be shown.

edit 3: It seems that just b/c of my click to see the price I would be dealing with per click, that one keyword is working with a QS of 3. Interesting.

Sometimes if you set up a new account, Google will throw a minimum $1 bid. If you go ahead and start bidding that, Google will bring the minimum bid back down to $0.05 or whatever it was before. This is assuming that you're adwords account and associated website is deemed high quality. I'd give that a try and see what happens. Hope it works out!

Increasing your CPC will not improve your Quality Score that's not how it works.

    Try this:

    1) Put your keyword in the head of the ad

    2) Put that keyword again in the text of the ad in a way that it makes sense

3)Include the keyword in the display URL

    4) If possible let your destination URL and landing page include your keyword as well.

This will increase the relevancy of your ad and should automatically increase your quality score.

You should see an icon next to where the status of the keyword is displayed.

That should immediately tell you where the problem with the keyword is.

By the way if your QS is low your minimum CPC will be higher.

There is about to come a time when google adwords are going to be very irrelevant. their editorial guidlines are getting to the point where you won't be able to advertise any clickbank products at all. there are already a ton of them that are not accepted on adwords
