    Hello all,

I am new to this all. I started advertising with adwords this week. I put a few adwords in but everyday adwords increases the minimum for my keywords for search. In 3 days a word went from .10 to .20 and today they are asking .40

Is this common? Is this what I can expect from here on out?

    Thank you

    Paul

Your CTR is probably low. This means your quality score is going down, which means your bids will increase.

I guess the cure for this is to pay alot for some keywords to start with. Get good CTR and then lower your bid. You will be placed at the same spot and recive the same amount of traffic, but cheaper.

This is costy though, so a good bankroll is recomended.

If he kept raising his bid gradually, at a point his listings would be able hold against value drain by CTR, right? I guess this is where the beginner-mode auto-pilot tool comes in handy...

You may improve your ad ctr% to consequently improve the Quality score that are at keyword level.

There is no score at ad level - the Ad ctr is just a reference for you in how that ad is hurting or helping your keywords quality score.
