I have a campaign to promote Software Development Services. One of the Ad Groups targeting Graphic Designing Services has only 5 keywords and Ad Text contains the keywords. The issue here is that the Quality Score is still Poor.
    Please mention factors responsible.

try to check your landing page. if you already use it in your ad variation maybe it has to be the landing page. check your landing page. optimize your landing page. check your keywords if it is relevant to your landing page.

I understand the point that Landing Page is one of the factors responsible for quality score.

Now, for all the 5 similar themed keywords i am using th same Landing page. Quality Score says Poor for 3 keywords and OK for 2. So hows Landing page is right for the 2 keywords having Quality Score OK.

    Its getting confusing now :)

I don't think QS is correct all the time.

For instance, I had a keyword in an Ad Group and a few other misspellings of it. Some of these misspellings had a worse QS than others - even though they were obviously all related to the main (correct spelling) keyword.

You say 'similar themed' - in your opinion they might be, but in Googles they may not all relate to your ads in the same way.

Are these keywords getting low/high impressions? If they are getting high - put them in their own Ad Group.

If they are low, maybe consider removing the keywords with a 'poor' QS and putting them in another adgroup with different Ads and/or different landing pages?

A QS of 7+/10 I don't usually mind. If they are 6 or under, I'd either remove the keyword or change the ads and/or landing pages and measure what difference it makes.

    Hi, Thanks for your reply.

What if singular of a keyword has great quality score and at the same time withing the same ad group, its plural keyword has poor QS with same ads and Landing pages. Now can we say that the Singular is perfectly matching with the ads while the plural is no way near.

    Please Advice

That has happened to me in the past.

As the singular version has a great QS it makes sense to keep that where it is and move the other one to a different AdGroup with 2 different ads. Yes, it's obviously a flaw on Google's part, and it seems silly that they both dont have the same QS, but there you go.

I'd move it to another adgroup and try something different.

So what I learn here is that If i have 500 keywords, I need to make 500 Ad Groups :) Thats weird on the part of the adwords system.

No, in most scenarios, you'd do '1-2-1' for the keywords that provide say 30% of your business - i.e the most popular 30% keywords.

The rest could be clustered, only if they are relative though.

Ya, But that ways, Managing an Adwords Account seems much more effort that it appears to be.

How's your CTR? You may want to check your CTR and how broad your keywords are.
