Well I just got a message in my account about the Phone alerts . Not sure if this feature is available for US adwords accounts even before. But i can see this feature in my Indian Adwords account now. I just added my mobile number ( Hutch ) . Google sent me a Verfication number to confirm ( It sender was Named Google on my Mobile ). Did confirm it. I could see this feature available only for one of my accounts. So they are only inviting few accounts to test. More Info about it About Phone Alerts AdWords phone alerts lets you receive important alerts about your account as text messages on your mobile phone. What kinds of alerts can I get on my mobile phone? Once you've completed the set-up process (see below), you can receive SMS text alerts about important account-related issues such as payment problems, budget end-dates, and credit card expirations. You can also receive these and other alerts (such as updates on campaign performance) on your Account Snapshot page and via email. Read more in our FAQ about managing account alerts. Setting up Phone Alerts If your mobile phone is SMS-enabled and your carrier allows for this service, it's easy to sign up to receive phone alerts. Here's how: 1. Sign in to your AdWords account, then, within the 'My Account' tabbed section, select 'Account Preferences,' and click the link for Notification Preferences. 2. On the 'Notification Preferences' page, click the link to Set up phone alerts. 3. On the 'Phone Alerts Options' page, select your country and carrier from the pull-down menus, enter your mobile phone number in the box provided, and then click Verify this number. 4. We will send an SMS message to your phone with a verification code. When you receive this code on your phone, type it into the box on the screen and click Finish verification. 5. Next, just complete your settings by telling us: 1. If you want the phone alerts enabled now (if you choose 'No, turn them off for now,' you can turn them on later by going to the 'Notification Preferences' page in your account and using the pull-down menus to the right of the alert types to designate which alerts you want sent to your mobile phone). 2. When you want to receive phone alerts - at anytime, or only at certain times of the day. Most users will also see checkboxes to choose weekdays and / or weekend alerts delivery. If you don't see this option, you will receive your phone alerts daily. 6. Click Save Changes. 7. We'll send your phone an SMS message that your sign-up has been successful. If you don't receive a verification code or "success" message, or are having other problems related to this online sign-up process, please let us know. Please note that Cingular (AT&T) and T-Mobile customers must complete an additional step to enable phone alerts. What should I do when I receive one? An AdWords phone alert is a brief SMS text message sent to your mobile device, with basic information about payment and billing problems and ad activity and performance issues. Alerts advise you to visit your online account pages to read more, if necessary, take appropriate action. Please don't respond directly to a phone alert via SMS - our phone system cannot receive responses to our alerts Is there a charge for using phone alerts? Google does not charge for sending SMS text alerts to your mobile phone about your AdWords account. However, depending on your service plan, your mobile service provider may charge you for the text messages you receive. See your mobile service plan for details. Can I turn off phone alerts after I've enabled them? Yes, you can turn your phone alerts off (and on again) at any time after successfully completing the sign-up process. There are two ways to turn off phone alerts: To disable phone alerts through your mobile phone, simply text the word STOP to the number 239673 (ADWORD) to stop receiving phone alerts. To disable phone alerts through your AdWords account pages, do the following: * Visit the 'Notification Preferences' page within the 'Account Preferences' section in the 'My Account' tabbed section of your AdWords account pages * To the right of the alert descriptions, use the pull-down menus beneath the 'Mobile Phone' column to change your settings to 'None.' This will disable your phone alerts. START to the number 239673 (ADWORD) or follow the steps above and use the pull-down menus to select which alerts you want sent to your mobile phone. Once re-enabled, we'll start sending SMS account alerts again to your phone based on the settings you established during your initial sign-up. How do I change my phone alerts preferences and phone information? To change the types of phone alerts you receive, check or uncheck the 'Mobile Phone' box or boxes to the right of the alert descriptions on the main 'Notification Preferences' page. To edit your phone information and date and time preferences, click the link to Edit phone alert settings from the 'Notification Preferences' page. This will take you to a page where you can edit your settings. If you provide a new phone number, we will send a new verification code to finalize your set-up changes (see 'Setting up Phone Alerts,' above, for more on this process).
