Adwords Pay per click eating up all your Profits?

As I read through the forums for clickbank I see that the biggest complaint from clickbank affiliates is that google adwords is costing some affiliates more than they are making. Some affiliates are very successful using adwords and do generate a nice profit. It is all in the niche or keywords that you are targeting. Some keywords are just too competitive to make a profit for a product selling for under $100. One very good piece of advice I have is to test the keywords out first to see just how much competition there is and what people are bidding on them.

I really like the techniques found in the “Cash Fusion Success Videos”. The videos show you how to get clickbank products promoted by getting a web page ranked for content rather than in the sponsored links adwords offers. You can get the link for cash fusion in my profile section. I now have one ranked on the first page of google for a keyword search over 20 million :)

    Hope this helps
    Success to All :)

I am curious if this produces sales though. The amount of time it takes to get a web page ranked for content that is good enough to pre-sell a product that sells seems like a lot of work. It's commonly done through article marketing, also known as "bum marketing", but that's a bit different than having your own site.

You're right that it is in the niche and keywords, but that's part of good advertising. If affiliates are routinely spending more than they make, it's probably worth it for them to stop their campaigns and analyze them such that they figure out what is working - and what isn't.

My only concern with this is that one might spend a lot of time building a page or lander for content and trying to get it ranked organically only to find they build the wrong content - either advertising to the wrong audience, or selling the wrong product - that is why Adwords is a good vehicle to test out how good your targeting is, if done correctly.

Not to say it can't be done, of course- just that careful Adwords testing will probably yield the same if not better results in a shorter amount of time.

Actually you post content to a webblog and then send it out to several article directories. This does not take me more than 15 minutes to set up the blog and to start posting. I have had both articles and blogs get very good page rankings inside of a week, Others maybe a month and some not at all. The nice thing about this, is that when you do get ranked it stays on that page for quite some time I have had one ranked on google for a very good product for over 9 months and has brought from 400 to over 1500 in sales per month. The Cash Fusion formats for the way the blogs are set up are very specific and are very effective.

The other thing having a blog set up using the Cash Fusion techniques is you can use your blog as a landing page for pay per click J Thus I find to get better page rank adwords ads for less cost per click. It also warms the prospect up to the product.

Ah, I see, I misunderstood then - this sounds more similar to Article marketing, then, rather than getting ranked for your own built from scratch lander. Hopefully it doesn't sound the same content out to each directory so as to avoid duplication penalty?

Otherwise, sounds like an interesting product! Over 1500 sales/month ain't bad :)

I've been moving away from Adwords in the last few months as well and now just focus entirely on getting ranked in the search engines. It's great seeing Clickbank commissions, and knowing that that entire amount is pure profit as you haven't spent anything to earn that commission (except small hosting fees).

    JRW,
Thats exactly true for myself as well :) I was terribly sick of giving all my profits to ppc ads  Now I am getting rankings and good sales plus pure profit :) This also makes for a good auto-pilot system. When I have a good ranking it is there 24/7, I only use ppc to test out new niches.

You may want to check out the Cash Fusion Success Videos. They have are total geared towards clickbank affiliates who want to learn these techniques. You can get the link in my profile. or just go to cashfusionsuccess com

I don't think its so easy to be ranked high for free. I have a landing page and pay people to submit it to directories and not a single convert from that. All my converts have been paid traffic. I am slightly ahead overall, will be dropping some sites if they don't start converting to increase my ROI

I have found ways to get blogs ranked high in the search engines fast and with little effort. At one point I created 30 blogs and was making over $300 a day. The blogs making that kind of money were created as free blogs using blogger.com The problem was, blogger kept locking them and deleting them on me. That’s when I got the idea to use wordpress on my own domain, then I had total control :)

I still have wordpress blogs created from June of 2006 that got ranked in July 2006 and have been generating cash sales for me still today on autopilot. I just had $70 in sales from just one of those old blogs today. It just keeps coming in and I haven’t posted to some of those blogs since they were first created.

I didn't do anything for six months. Then in December, I created five blogs and by the last two weeks of December 2006 I earned $1,930 from just two of those five. I was also still making money with the old ones as well. I tested out a few more things and found the power of setting them up a certain way to get google msn and yahoo to index really fast and get first page rankings.

    To you Success
