Hi, I run quite a few adwords campaigns for clients, but ive noticed something. With one client, the adwords have been paused for 4 days due to burning up all the funds, but from google analytics i can see that for the past 4 days its still getting cpc hits? So i've had a couple of possible answers, but are any right.... 1. Adwords takes a few days to stop altogether? 2. Adwords had not used all the budget and is still going even though its paused? 3. Visitors are bookmarking the site with the url inc the google adwords code and getting billed for it? Its paused at campaign and ad level, so its definatly stopped.
That seems pretty standard from Google. When pausing an ad, especially with content distribution, we'll often see 3-4 hours before trafficking is stopped and we often are charged for the traffic as well.
