Adwords over budget

    I have a campaign daily budget set to $100 for one campaign, so far it's reached $120, is this common?

    yes, google takes your daily budget and averages it out over the month, so some days you will have $120 spend and other days you will have $80

    It's not common but I have seen it happen before, usually it will even out the next day.
