i ran my second campaign today, left it for a few hours. When i returned to it there had been no impressions served, i had a max cpc of 40cents. Could someone explain to a idiot like me, why no impressions.

    Thanks

It depends on a number of factors, but one thing you can do to test whether or not your ads are showing is to simply go to Google and type in yuour keywords...and see if your ad shows up. Don't click on your ad, of course, since that will cost you money....

There is usually several hour delay at Adwords account. It does not show real time data.

MCO has it right on. It takes some time just like selling stocks which are usually 15 minutes delayed.

Yea I think it has something like a 2-3 hr delay time.

Just guessing from memory though cause I often mix up with Adsense reporting. Please verify someone.

I just started adwords and I got impressions(1 click) within a couple hours. Depends on your keywords, I assume.

I put all my keywords in [brackets]

There are many factors involved. First of all make sure your keywords are active and then do a search on google and see if your ad is there. You should contact adwords support if you dont see any clicks/impressions after few hours.

You need to increase you're cpc.

I think the delay for AdWords and AdSense is roughly the same - around 2-3 hours.
