AdWords no Longer Taking Phone Support?

As of the last 3 months, every time I try to call the Google AdWords phone number and go through all the prompts, it tells me they aren't doing phone support for existing customers. Is everyone else getting this too?

Yes. I appears they want you to contact them by email instead. Has been going on since about mid-July, at least, that's when I became aware of it.

yeah,I also heard that they have cancelled the service of phone. There're still other means for you to
communicate with them.E-mail is also a good way.But I still think calling is the directest and the most
    instant way.

The chat option only appears to be in "certain areas". We have employees in Washington, New York, and Canada, and all of us aren't able to get on the chat.

Yup, i too can say they've dropped phone support. Until now, I thought it was unique to my account. The automated msg of "We cannot offer phone support to all customers" tipped me that it might just be for high rollers.

High rollers definetly and for sure, I wish. Actually they sent me $75 to use in adwords which is very nice of them. I'm tempted to try out some ideas. Only thing is the new version of Adwords takes forever to load. Anyone finding this, I mean I may as well make a cup of coffee its so slow.

I never used the AdWords support anyways but yesterday I got in the mail a coupon for $100 to use with a new account. The funny thing is, I already got the same coupon in an email and used up all of the money 10 days ago. I guess they do not check if the person already used the coupon before sending the mail or their mail travels very slow. :)

they can give away as much money as they want, if they have no customer service i don't know how they're going to keep customers. I hope Bing keeps doing well. I had a specific rep there with a NAME and direct PHONE NUMBER!!! (this is so shocking in the online world)

European Adwords support is run from Dublin. You have to work hard to get your point across. Particularly if you're alleging click fraud. Overall, they seem a pretty good bunch and my account manager, Michelle, is very knowledgeable.
