For those of you with ecommerce sites with multiple categories and have tried Adwords, do you create a new landing page for any of your ads or just link to the category or product page?

Definitely test both - but in my experience landing page usually wins the battle. Unless it is a commodity product, it's tough to properly pre-sell in the limited character space AdWords permits.

Link to landing page will lead to higher conversion rate because the content they found in the landing page is only related .
Landing page usually have more related content with the google adwords that why it bring lower bounce rate and higher conversion rate.

We do both. In some cases the actual product/category/subcategory page converts better than a landing page, in some cases its the other way around. But it definitely helps us achieve higher overall conversion rates.
