So I'm checking out the keyword tool here: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Now... the numbers quoted on that tool seem high because its across the whole network (adsense included I guess)

So what percentage would you say occurs in the SERPs themselves and not on the network? 10%? 5%?

Judging by the clicks I'm getting on my #1 keywords, it appears that the number of searches coming from google, and not adsense, is about 5% of the total number. But I'd like to hear some other opinions.

Click the little 'sort by' drop down on the right side of the tool, and sort by 'Exact Match'. This will tell you how many search are being done for each exact phrase or keyword. By default it is sorted by 'broad' or 'phrase' match, and it you don't do this you will see numbers that are much higher than the actual amount of searches.
