Hey, Just wondering, what's the big difference between any keyword analyzing tool, like keyword elite, and adwords analyzer? Sorry don't have keyword elite so I might consider buying it if you can come up with some good arguments Cheers
I bought keyword elite and I don't recommend it. I was hoping they would automate more of the keyword research process. Instead it went and tried to find keywords, but included way too many irrelavent keywords. They had no search volume stats for any keywords. Their ppc spy module required you to enter ad info for each ad you want to monitor. I was hoping it would be able to automatically find all the keywords that a competitor bid on. So it was quite disappointing. I still use SEO Elite from the same company and I am very happy with that software.
For keywords, you want specificity, search volume, and low competition. You can get search volume and competition from Google's AdWord Keyword Tool, and detailed insight into competition from Googling the keyword and looking at who appears in the golden triangle. If it's Amazon, move on down your list. No automated tool I've found can come up with specificity better than you can yourself. You know your site and your audience best. If your site sells purple saucepans then "purple" and "saucepan" will give high volume, but low specificity and high competition. "purple saucepan" alone won't give much volume, but if you go for the long tail ("purple saucepan" and "magenta pot" and "lilac pan" ...) you can build up traffic. hth
adwords uses for getting how much competition specific keyword has. and i shows no of searches. its free and give good results if done wisely. tools.seobook.com has great list of free tools.
