Adwords just stops traffic out of nowhere

Im doing my first adwords google content (banner ads, not text) and bidding at 70 cents cpc on 12 adgroups, many of them are very broad. The first few days I ran the ad I got hundreds of thousands of impressions, and then it stopped all of a sudden. I didnt get a nasty email, all my qauality scores are at 7/10 (I can only see this by enabling Google Search ads, not sure if it even matters for google content) and the messages next to all my ads say they are eligible, approved, and dont have any problems.

Does anyone know why this happens? Is this known as the Slap? How do I fix it? I took my 2 best performing adgroups and put them in a new campaign and raised the bid to 85 cents, and my entire account still gets 0 impressions. Today I deleted the new ad and put it back up, and still 0 impressions.

    How do I fix this?

I'm not 100% sure but I believe what happens on new campaigns is that ads are served as much as possible, more than you normally would get. The system does this to get the CTR data it needs to figure out your ad rank as soon as possible. Once it has enough impressions, you are put into a normal ad serving which depends on your CTR and bid.

QS of 7 is not bad. Note that QS is calculated only for the Google search network. You should also have your search and content network campaigns separate. Read more about QS.

    Halo, Knobish.
This is just happening to me.
All of my campaigns suddenly stop running with zero impression since October 6th, with no warning or alert or email. Even, the adgroups and keywords statuse are eligible and there is no disapproved ads.

I've run the campaigns since last year and showed large impression, up to hundred thousand impressions per day. But now, there is no impression at all.

I've sent email to Google Adwords Team. 1st, they called me by phone but only asked my data information. Then, few days later, they sent an email inform my campaigns have been back to normal.

    But they are not...

I've sent again an email to Adwords Team on Wednesday, but still no answer until now...

Liza's advice is bad advice. Unless your QS goes down to 1, you have not been slapped. Main reason for a QS of 1 is if you have affiliate links on your page. You need to have good ad rank or you won't show very often. Ad rank on content is calculated as your CTR times your bid.

The same thing happened to me. They gave me 2 million impressions in a day then they stopped my ads. I believe google does this to get CTR data because my ads starting running again after. Google just plays around to make sure no one is doing anything they shouldnt be.

I resubmitted everything yesterday. This is the google content network, so I only see the quality score of 7/10 if I turn on google search network(which i assume does NOTHING but show me a quality score that im not even sure applies...) Still 0000 impressions.

I am running affiliate links with no-follow (just added no-follow yesterday) on pages that google finds no problem with according to adwords.

Since it seems CTR is the big issue, here are my top adgroups CTRs from highest to lowerst for the 3-4 days the campaign actually got impressions:

    1.36%
    1.13%
    0.71%
    0.38%
    0.37%
    0.34%
    0.34%
    0.32%
    0.29%
    0.17%
    0.14%
    0.13%
    0%
    Nothing else got clicks.

Determined to make this work but it seems like nothing is working.

That's right, QS on content does not apply. Your problem is affiliate links. I don't think a no-follow is going to do anything. That's why I suggest direct linking. And delete those campaigns before you get banned.

Did your numbers raise again over time?

Ive got several QS 10 keywords that show ad positions of 1.0 that just dont get impressions (highly searched keywords)

Just wondered if your situation had improved over time and your impressions went up or not?
