Im bidding 10 cents per keyword, I deposited $10 yesterday, spent just over $2 so far, then my ads stopped and I get this message for every keyword..

The amount remaining in your campaign's budget is too low to allow a competitive bid. This means your ad is not showing.

A competitive bid?? It's 10 cents!! And there's only one other advertiser apart from me. I don't get it

I've never seen this particular message but it sounds like your bid of 10 cents is so low, your ads are being shown very low, nowhere near first page. Your ads are therefore not shown very often.

Google is telling you to place a higher bid so they can be shown more often. But given a higher bid, your $10 per day budget would quickly be depleted so they are also saying to increase your daily budget to maximize your ad servings.

    What is they keyword?
At the very least research what the CPC is on average and match it.

You can get cheap bids, it just takes time. I had some SEO keywords that were highly competitive go next to nothing over the course of a few months. You just have to wait for the budgets of your competitors to expire ;)

Although if you want results, bidding higher is of course necessary.

it sounds like your bidding too low for the keywords you want to bid on

    Hi,

Keep the same budget and increase your bid on keywords. Then watch your clicks, impressions and CPC daily.

I recall having a low daily budget. Eventually I got an email from them saying that because my budget got depleted too fast for several days my ads would run only 63% of the time. (Have no idea why 63%!)

In your case it is probably a combination of both a low bid and budget. I am not an expert, but I would simply increase the budget by $2 and bid by 2 cents.
