Can any please tell me how or even where does Google get the Keyword matches from in Gmail? Is it in the Body of the Text, Subject Line and does it catch links? Has any one had good/bad expriences in targeting visitors with it? Cheers for any help Smudge
Cheers guys I suspected that it would be both title and content however, wondered if this was confirmed anywhere? I'll have a trawl through t's and c's for Gmail I think just to make sure Many thanks for your help so far
I would assume the title would be at least reduced in importance if not ignored as many people don't bother with correct subject lines, especially when talking to friends and family. How much can be deduced by looking at "Re: Hi"
Hwy not do an experiment? Send yourself a load of emails with varying bodies and subjects. In fact, I'll give it a go now...

Heh, I just tried sending myself an email which just said "dave has died" Just as I thought, there were no ads. As stated in their help pages, their system detects sensitive emails. It'd be funny if it advertised funeral homes and coffins down the side!
