Does the use of adwords pretty much go hand in hand with affiliate marketing as a publisher? Have you had decent affiliate success without the need for adwords?
Adwords is not a waste - that's kind of a blanket statement. If it was a waste and didn't benefit anyone, the program wouldn't exist and neither would Google. The truth is it can be a waste if you don't know what you're doing. Lurk some marketing forums and do your keyword research. Target less competitive keywords and you can certainly run a successful campaign.
Just want to point out that ive only just been thinking about this, but will most likely give it a try, fgllc thanks il do some research into it. Ive read before of people wasting cash with adwords through not monitoring what they are doing and spending so il do my homework on it.
With adwords its best to read up a bit before starting any campains with it. Also set a daily limit, otherwise your cash can burn out quick, while you are still learning the ropes. Whether to use it on affilate marketing, it depends. If you have a lot of traffic that is targeted to the affiliate you are promoting, then the adwords will probally be a waste. On the other hand, if the affiliate pays out well, and you manage to get relatively cheap keywords from adwords, then PPC may bring you profits quicker if you have no or little traffic to start of with,.
i'm afraid to jump in on that one - doing lots of reading. Still new to all of this - think I will leave until I am more comfortable with everything.
