Adwords How do you.....?

Is there a way to make google not use a term for adwords? For instance if I am using "Sell Marbles" as a term can I set google up so they don't show my ad for "Marbles for sale"? This is happening and it is frustrating since one term is revenue generating and the other isn't and is wasting my money.

    Thanks!

    I hate questions like this...

Did you even bother to read anything Google has documented?

    robertpriolo,

First of all I'd like to say thank you for pointing me to the documentation.

Now to answer your question; yes I did bother to read everything I could in google adwords and given what I was asking I did not receive any help. Had I known about their term "negative keywords" I probably would have found it and as such wouldn't have frustrated you with my apparently idiotic question. I apologize for wasting your time.

It just seems that so many people here just ask questions without ever reading or searching for their answer first.

If you did look high and low then I apologize...
