I need some help in understanding adwords. I was currently using yahoo and found them to be much simpler to use until they took down my Ad. I wish adwords would be the same in terms of simplicity. For some of my keywords, i get the following messages. The quality score for all keywords is described as great except for one keyword which is described as poor. The status of all keywords is Active. I have even increased bid but it still does not help.
As for the first quote you probably have your preferred ad position set to high for a competitive keyword. There are keywords in my niche that the minimum bids are $5/click. Because my niche targets a specific demographic i.e. working men I have my campaign turned off until after 5pm. This allows for my keyword budget to be higher during the specific times as well as by mid evening most big spenders have hit their daily budget and the keyword price drops. On a normal weekday a specific keyword that costs between $1 and $5 is under 50 cents most of the night when my demographic is most active.
could anyone explain the last quote regarding that the Ad shares a similar url? I am having this message for most of my keywords. I don't get it.
one thing adwords does not tell us is that how are we to determine the CPC based on the Ad position preference or is their a way because i cannot figure it out. It does however tell us the min cpc but does not tell us the Ad position based on that min cpc. Please help.
Google Adwords is much simpler than any of its counterparts...easy to use and help provided.. Regarding minimum bid, there are various ways to decrease minimum bid, Targeted Ad Text, landing page, geo location target
I have put up a number of keywords. Each keyword has its min bid which isstated under the quality score status. So if a keyword has a min bid of £0.08 then how do we find out the exact positioning of that keyword? If i want my text Ad to appear in the top 3 sponsored listings, how do i determine the bid amount? In this case, i do not want to be bidding too high if the bid for that top position has a much lower bid. £0.08 will no way put my text Ad in the top 3 or even list it.
Your ad shares a similar Display URL with a competing, higher ranking ad. OK lemme explain this to you. Lets assume your display URL is www.xyz. com and you plan to be on page 1 of google for a certain adword. Now there is someone else who is also marketing for the same keyword with the same display URL www.xyz. com. You must be thinking why would 2 people have the same display URL. This mostly happens incase of affiliate marketing when you are tryin to send traffic directly to the merchant website and other affiliates of the same product/ service are also trying to do that. Now google does not allow 2 results on the same result page with same display URL. So the advert with a better rankin will be displayed (better = both is terms of CPC and CTR). There is an easy workaround for problem. Lets say you want your customer to finally reach www.xyz. com, first you can redirect your customer to a landing page like www.landingpage. com and from there link them to www.xyz. com using a few paragrahs about the product / service. Problem Solved :O)
