Adwords Help, First time user

    I signed up for adwords for the very first time with a promotional code (25$) I got from a friend.

    I signed up, added that promo code in the billing info, added 10$ to my account and when it returned to the main page (of adwords) after all the sign up and stuff it gives me this

    "Your AdWords prepaid funds have been exhausted.
    We have stopped running your ads until you transfer additional funds into your AdWords account. Please visit your Make Payments page to fund your account and trigger our system to begin serving your ads again. If you need to update your payment details before attempting another payment, please visit your Billing Preferences page."

    What gives?!?!?!?

    p.s. I paid through credit card for those 10$ and it gave a message that it takes 24hours or so to clear up the payment. Can it be due to that?

    I'm having the exact same problem, the only difference being that I'm using the adwords pre-pay option, its been 12 days now and I'm still seeing the "funds exhausted message".......I tried contacting Google loads of time, the only reply I get is that 'this probelm has been affecting a limited number of accounts and our their "specialists" are "working" to find a solution!!'
    So RovingCalypso, could you please take the time to reply to this, and let me know how long did Google take in your case to remove the "funds exhausted" message??
