the first time i know why i was rejected... i had just purchased the domain and it wasn't up yet so that was my fault. but now everything is up and running http://ittybitty.cn and they responded to me with this:

you think it's because of my meta keywords or the type of site in general?

    meta tags

      <meta name="author" content="Travis Ballard" />
<meta name="keywords" content="short, url, , url rewriting, url http, rewrite, redirection, url definition, urlencode, url assistant, http, web, uri, long, small, itty, bitty, itty bitty, internet, ittybittyengine, not long, lengthy, characters, random" />
<meta name="description" content="a short url generator. ittybitty.cn takes your long, hideous url and converts it into a smaller one that directs you to the same place with less effort. smaller is more memorable." />

    Code (markup):

Could be that or because it is a short url site. Not sure if they like them anymore.

Try getting blogger blog and then sign up in your blogger acount. Make sure to have a few posts before you sign up.

My vote leans towards "No Content" And I assume you mean AdSense.

yeah i meant adsense. sorry. tinyurl has adsense so i figured that it wouldn't be a big deal getting it. may just have to go another route for my text ads underneath but i would like to have adsense there. that's the reson i developed this site for the most part.

They could be a special breed of publisher (allowed to do things us mortals only dream of) If they have been involved early on in the Adsense program they would likely be allowed to continue in the program because of their status, however Google may not accept any new, unproven sites based upon the same model of business.

    Hi Ansi,
Sorry to take this off direction, but what is this type of service for? Just curious.

buddy just start a blog. talk about stuff you like and when you have enough content, re-sign up for adsense using the blog account. what you do after that is all up to you. goodluck.

maryn: url shortening and redirection. wanted something to challenge tinyurl with an ajax twist to it. the real jewel of it is the advertiser panel i think it's going to be pretty sweet. upload 5 banners to put into rotation, rate them according to which ones you want displayed more often than others and what not. see how many clicks your ads have generated and blah blah blah. screenshot of the advertiser panel is here if you're curious i'm going to be developing it tonight probably so that'll be fun. http://ittybitty.cn/ibadpanel.jpg any other ideas as to what i can do with this other than strictly a url redirection and shortening service or ideas for more content. something so adsense will accept me. just some ideas for the most part.

and as for the blog idea, i'm not much of a writer so i think that would just be a waste of time.

i doubt tiny URL is premium.
get a blog and just write a few posts then apply to adsense with your blog as your website and then once they accept you on your blog, you can use your adsense code on your url shortening site

i could do that but wouldn't that be against the terms of service and give them a reason to revoke my account or something?

Who knows, but with their ranking they have a good shot at that, or at least some other status that allows them to do that.
