Hi, I am just starting to use Adwords geotargetting and wondered how it works. If I set a 20 Km radius of a town, does the ad show based on IP address of searcher. Also, will the geotargeting pick up if I have general keywords in campaign, say 'dentist' and then a searcher searches for 'dentist [area name within 20 miles of town]' but IP from outside radius, will the ad still show? I read that the best way to do it is to set up 2 campaigns, one geotargeted with general keywords and one country targeted that includes specific area keywords too. Does anyone have any tips with setting up this sort of system? Are there any pitfalls to using geotargeting in this way? Many thanks
